The Northeastern Illinois Chapter relies on volunteers to keep our programs thriving. What drives our program is the volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Ryan Jackson at (847) 533-6604. The gift of your personal time makes a huge impact on these young lives and is very rewarding. Special training sessions are scheduled each year and volunteers have a chance to learn the games fundamentals and practice and play themselves. In the years this program has been in operation more than 400 lay volunteers have taken up the game of golf or learned to play better as a result of this experience.

# Volunteers are needed for: Administration Work, Teaching golf, Teaching Life Skills, Safety Engineering, Mentoring students, Tournament Operations, Chaperone for Field Days, Repair and fitting of equipment for kids, Transportation, Photography, Website Development and Updates, Media Relations, Computer Expertise, Accounting Assistance, Newsletter writing, and a variety of other duties.
# Teach the Teacher Seminars are scheduled each spring. These programs are primarily set up for PGA Golf Professionals and Novist Instructors to understand and develop The First Tee values of instructional awareness. Instructors will learn to use Life Skills & Core Values in a seamless fashion while assisting students in developing golf skills.
Instructors must participate in a minimum six hours of training and complete an oral and written test to be certified. # Parent and Volunteer Advisory Board - periodic meetings are held with interested parents and volunteers to assist with other Chapter activities.
